Experience an unforgettable full day private tour by taxi in Athens, visiting the unique monuments of the ancient classical period, and enjoy all the
beautiful places and attractions the city has to offer to all its visitors.
Acropolis, Parthenon, the new museum of the Acropolis, the Theatre of Dionysus, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch ,the Panathenaic Stadium, the
Royal Palace, Plaka, Ancient Roman, Ancient Greek Agora, Syntagma Square, the Parliament, the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and the characteristic
"changing of the guards" , the National Archaeological Museum ,etc.
The Acropolis
, which is the “landmark” of Greece, is a rocky hill, height 156 meters above sea level and about 70 meters from the level of the city of Athens. The top
has a length of 300 meters and a width of 150. The hill is unreachable from all sides except the west, where the fortified entrance lies, which is
decorated by the brilliant Propylaea, the entrance. The Acropolis, which is classified as an UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, is the "crown" of the
city of Athens. The Parthenon, a building famous for its architectural beauty and harmony, is the temple of Virgin Athena. It is built from Pentelic
marble, and it took 15 years to build (447-432 BC). The dazzling white columns of the Parthenon, and the famous caryatids, stand out from the blue sky
background and are an immortal symbol of the spirit and genius of man.
The Temple of Athena Nike
, which took 5 years to build (437-432 BC), by Kallikratis, is a small and nice amphiprostyle Ionic temple that graces the Acropolis. It is the home of the
statue of Athena Nike, the "Wingless", i.e. without wings, so as for the goddess never leave the city of Athens.
The Erechtheion
is distinguished for the greatness of the Caryatids, the statues of young priestesses that support the roof of the temple with their heads. The Erechtheion
was a temple dedicated to the mythical king Erechtheus, who later was identified as Poseidon.
Later on, the tour includes a visit to the New Acropolis Museum and the Theatre of Dionysus, which will help you discover
the history of the city and will transfer you, even for a short while, back in time.
The Temple of Zeus
, the giant columns to the east of the Acropolis, which Pisistratus started building in 530 BC but were not complete until Roman times, by Hadrian, in 129
AD. Hence, the name Hadrian's Gates.
The Panathenaic Stadium
, which was reconstructed for the first modern Olympic Games, held in 1896, is built on the site of the ancient stadium, which was built in 330 BC.
The tour continues to the Royal Palace, and "Plaka", an area located at the foot of the Acropolis. This area was
considered the center of Athens, from ancient times and as a region is characterized by its many churches, ancient - archaeological sites, the neoclassical
buildings, etc.
Visiting the Ancient Roman and Ancient Greek Agora is also a very interesting experience, since the traveler can visit the Temple of
Hephaestus, the best preserved temple of ancient times.
The tour continues with the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in front of the parliament, in Syntagma Square. Of particular interest is the changing of the guards, from Evzones, soldiers wearing the traditional attire.

is the opportunity to visit two of the most important museums of Athens, apart from the New Museum of Acropolis, the National Archaeological Museum and the

visitors to enjoy a panoramic view. The view from the top is breathtaking. There, we will have the chance to visit the Orthodox Church of St George, as

HALF DAY TOUR to Loutraki
Enjoy a half day tour to Loutraki, a resort city, known for the thermal baths since 1925, the mineral water from its springs and the
largest Casino, in Greece.
Our first stop is the famous Isthmus of Corinth. Corinth is located eighty kilometers west of Athens on the south side of the Isthmus, a
narrow neck of land connecting the Peloponnese to mainland Greece and separating the Corinthian Gulf from the Saronic Gulf and finally the Ionian Sea from
the Aegean Sea. We will make a short stop for pictures of the canal.
We will continue to Loutraki, called ‘’Thermae’’ in the past, located on the north side of the Corinthian Gulf, along a beautiful beach of
4km, on the foot of mount Gerania. It is largely a tourist town, and is well-known for its vast natural springs and therefore famous for its spring water,
which is bottled and sold widely. It is 84 km from Athens and four from Corinth, and at the 2011 census was 21,100 inhabitants. The weather is almost
always sunny, and there are numerous beautiful beaches with clear waters around the area. Loutraki is one of the most famous destinations for medical
tourism, due to the hot springs, and is a very popular destination for its Casino, one of the biggest in Europe.
On the mount Gerania we will briefly visit the monastery of St. Patapios, constructed in the 11th century, which is accessible by car, and
offers a spectacular view of the Northern Peloponnese, the Isthmus of Corinth and the Saronic Gulf. In the area of the hot springs there is the church of
St. Andrew, built in 1345, by John Katakouzinos. Located 14 km to the west, there is the Lake of Vouliagmeni, a secluded deep sea bay, which communicates
with the Corinthian sea with a narrow strait 8.6 meters, where the phenomenon of influent and effluent water by tides can be seen.
In modern Loutraki, we will visit the bronze statue of Major General George Victor Papagiannopoulos, who is a descendant of the heroic family who played a
leading role in the Revolution of 1821. Our tour will continue with a visit to the cosmopolitan beach of Loutraki, which starts from Corinth’s Canal. The
beach is covered with small pebbles and the sea deepens quickly. Along the coastal road there are many cafes, which provide parasols and all the comforts,
while the municipality ensures safe swimming, due to the presence of lifeguards. The orientation of the beach is west, so the visitors can enjoy the sunset
behind the coastline of Corinth on the one hand and the cape Heraion on the other.

Excursion to all the sights in CORINTH - ISTHMUS
A great half day tour, which will start from Corinth’s Canal and will continue with the city of Ancient Corinth, the Temple of Apollo, Isthmia (the
submersible bridge) and Acrocorinth.
Departing from Athens, we will move westwards, along the scenic view of the Greek countryside, enjoying one of the most picturesque drives. Once we reach
the Corinth Canal, we will make a short stop to take in the breathtaking view of the Isthmus. The canal is a massive project, which began
in 1882 and ended 11 years later, having a length of 6,340 meters and a width of 23 m, joining the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, thus creating the most
important artificial passage of Greece, connecting the Peloponnese to mainland Greece, separating the Corinthian Gulf from the Saronic Gulf.
Our tour will continue with the city of Ancient Corinth, the place where St. Paul the Apostle lived and preached for two
years, where Themistocles forced the Corinthians to use their fleet against the Persian King Xerxes, a place of significant importance in the development
of ancient Greek sculpture and culture in general. Corinth was amongst the wealthiest of the city states, and this is quite evident by its remains,
including the huge ancient agora (ancient market place) and Apollo’s Temple, dated to the 6th C.B.C. We will make a brief stop at the site of the ancient
port of Kechreai, where St. Paul made a stop in his second missionary journey.
According to Hellenic myth, the city was founded by Corinthos, a descendant of the god Helios (the Sun), while other myths suggest that it was founded by
the goddess Ephyra, a daughter of the Titan Oceanus, thus the ancient name of the city (also Ephyra). There is evidence that the city was destroyed around
2000 BC. The peak period of the city, though, started in the 8th century B.C, when Corinth became one of the leading powers of the Greek world, founder of
colonies in the west Mediterranean, such as Syracuse, and lasted until its destruction by the Roman general Lucius Mummius in 146 B.C.

was the vision of one of the most important Greek politicians Charilaos Trikoypis, who served as prime minister several times in the last two decades of
the 19th century. The Rion – Antirrion Bridge has a length of 2,252 m and is suspended from four pillars in the sea while resting on two abutments on the
coast.
After passing by the city of Patra, one of the largest ports, that each year organizes the biggest carnival in the country, we continue to our final
destination, Ancient Olympia.
Arriving in Ancient Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games, we will visit the archaeological site with the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium,
the Archaeological Museum and the Museum of the Olympic Games. Olympia, a sanctuary of ancient Greece, is known as the venue of the Olympic Games in
classical times, comparable in importance to the Pythian Games, held in Delphi. In 776 BC, Ifitos, king of Elis, Kleosthenes of Pisa and Lycurgus of Sparta
reorganized the Olympic Games in honor of Zeus, and established the sacred truce during the Games.
In Olympia, which global reputation is based on the Olympic Games, is the starting point of the Olympic Flame. Even today you can see the starting line at
the stadium where athletes used to run in ancient times. Moreover, in Ancient Olympia was the gold and ivory statue of Zeus by Phidias, which was known in
ancient times as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
During the tour we will stop to enjoy a coffee and lunch either in idyllic landscapes, or in front of the blue background of the sea, or next to the most
popular archaeological sites.

One-day tour to Delphi
Visit one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece, Delphi, characterized as the "Navel of the Earth", visit
the nearby picturesque mountain village of Arachova, the meeting point of the Greek jet setters during the winter and enjoy a tour that connects ancient
culture to the modern world. The route that we will follow until we reach our destination will pass from Kifissia, New Eritrea, Ekali, Agios Stefanos,
Oenofyta, and will continue with the crossing of the green fields of Boeotia, through Thebes, the city of legendary King Oedipus, through Livadia and
Arachova (famous for its colorful handmade carpets), ending up in Delphi, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece with great historic
significance.
Our excursion to Delphi will start in the morning (around 8:30) and our first stop is the picturesque Arachova, which, during the period
of the Greek revolution of 1821, was the headquarters of General G. Karaiskakis and is currently one of the most cosmopolitan places because of Parnassos
ski center situated near the town. This makes it one of the most important winter resorts in Greece.
The tour continues to Delphi, where, in Mycenaean times, in this site the goddess Earth was worshiped. The sanctuary and the oracle of
Delphi begin to develop in the 8th century with the triumph of the cult of Apollo. Delphi had great religious and political influence and was thought in
ancient times as the navel of the earth. The truth however was that it was the center of the ancient Greek world, since the sacred oracle used to play a
dominant role in the choice of the Greeks, who rushed to hear the predictions of the oracle for the future. However, the answers of the priestess were
famous for their ambiguity.
Among the rich findings of archaeological research, which began in 1893, stand the temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Gymnasium and the
Stadium, the Dome and the sacred spring of Delphi nymph Castalia. During our tour, we will visit the Museum of Delphi, with its great exhibits, such as the
Charioteer, the Argives Kleovis and Viton, the frieze of the Siphnian treasure, etc. The Museum of Delphi is among the first Greek Museums in number of
visitors.
During the tour we will stop to enjoy a coffee and lunch with traditional dishes and drinks either in idyllic landscapes or having as a background the
archaeological sites at Delphi, or the wild and usually snowy during the winter months mountains of Arachova.

One-day tour to Delphi and the Monastery of St. Luke / Elikonas
A unique tour, where you will have the opportunity to visit Delphi and “travel in time” in Ancient Greece and in the Byzantine period, by
browsing through museums, archaeological sites of the area, the Oracle of Delphi and the Byzantine Monastery of Saint Lukas. Our route will start from
Athens and pass through Kifissia, Nea Erithrea, Ekali, Agios Stefanos, Oenofyta, and will continue with the crossing of the green plains of Boeotia,
through Thebes, the city of legendary King Oedipus, through Livadia, the Monastery of Saint Luke in Helicon and in Arachova (famous for its colorful
handmade carpets ), ending in our final destination, Delphi.
Our excursion to Delphi will start in the morning (around 08:00) and our first stop is the Monastery of Saint Luke in the western slope of
Mount Helicon, located under the Acropolis of Ancient Steirio. It is one of the most important monuments of the Middle Byzantine period of art and
architecture and is included in the list of monuments of the world’s heritage of UNESCO together with the other two surviving monasteries
of the Middle Byzantine period in Greece, Nea Moni (Chios) and the Monastery of Daphni (Athens).
The monastery, which is built in the folds of the mountain, surrounded by a plateau covered by olive trees, and the natural landscape has not been altered
by residential activity, thus maintaining its authenticity, is located about halfway between Athens and Delphi. The monastery was founded by the monk Luke,
who lived in the area from 945 AD until his death in 953 AD. The saint was very dear to the local population but also to officials for his charity and
therapeutic work, and, as it was said, for the gift of prophesy that he possessed. He was buried in the floor of his cell, and in 955 AD monks built a
cruciform building around the tomb and the first cells of the monastic community. The church of Virgin Mary, the oldest temple, was built in the 11th
century and the “Catholic”, that was built to safe keep the remains of the Blessed St Luke, is the largest church in the complex and is located south of
the church of Virgin Mary. The temple is a miniature of the St Sophia in Istanbul.
Our next stop is the picturesque Arachova, which during the Greek revolution of 1821, was the headquarters of General G. Karaiskakis and
is currently one of the most cosmopolitan places because of Parnassos ski center situated there. This makes it one of the most important winter resorts in
Greece.
After Arachova, the tour continues to Delphi, where, in Mycenaean times, the goddess Earth was worshipped. The sanctuary and the oracle of

Immediately after, we will visit the Museum of Delphi, with its great exhibits, such as the Charioteer, the Argives : Kleovis and Viton, the frieze of the
Siphnian treasure, etc. The Museum of Delphi is among the first Greek Museums in number of visitors.
During the tour we will stop to enjoy a coffee and lunch with traditional dishes and drinks either in idyllic landscapes or having as a background the

One-day tour to meteora
A day trip that promises to take your breath away with the beauty of the natural landscape and the imposing atmosphere of themonasteries of Meteora. The tour includes stops in Kalambaka, Meteora, Kastraki , Byzantine monasteries of Meteora and passes through the towns of Amfissa, Lamia and Trikala.
Our full day excursion will start early in the morning (around 8:00), having as a first stop the Tomb of Thermopylae and the monument of
the brave Leonidas. The monument, which was erected to commemorate the Battle of Thermopylae, opposite the historic hill Kolonou, where the final phase of
the battle was conducted, was built at the expenses of American expatriates in the 1950s.
We will continue our tour by passing through the beautiful flat fields of Thessaly, and will get to the really unique site of Meteora, with its huge volumes of rock that stand in the middle of the landscape, as if a divine hand took them and dropped
them there. Maybe that was the reason why the monks built on top of these rocks these beautiful and unique Monasteries. The monastic community of Meteora
is the most important after the Athoniki Politeia of Mount Athos, commonly known as Agion Oros (translation: the Holly Mountain).
The monasteries were built in the 14th century, and we will have the opportunity to visit three of them, depending on the day of the
visit: the Holy Monastery of the Great Meteora (the largest monastery), the Holy Monastery of Barlaam (the second largest monastery), the Monastery of St.
Nicholas Anapafsa (the first monastery we encounter in our way to Kastraki), the Holy Monastery of St. Stephen (the most accessible since it does not have
countless steps) where the skull and remains of St. Haralambos lie, and the Monastery of the Holy Trinity (the most difficult to access Monastery, since
visitors must cross the whole valley and continue up through the rock to reach the entrance).
The finale of our visit includes dinner at one of the traditional taverns of the hospitable city of Kalampaka, in the late afternoon,
after which we will take the road back, having had a great day both physically and spiritually, from this unique tour.

Two-day tour to Thermopylae & Meteora
A two-day trip that promises to take your breath away with the beauty of the natural landscape, the imposing atmosphere of Thermopylae,
and, of course, the unique monasteries of Meteora. The tour includes stops at Thermopylae, Kalambaka, Meteora, Kastraki, Byzantine monasteries of Meteora and passes through the towns of Amfissa, Lamia and Trikala.
The first day of our tour will start early in the morning (around 8:00) and our first stop will be at the Tomb of Thermopylae and the
monument of brave Leonidas. Passing through the fertile plains of Boeotia, about 220 klm from Athens, is the place in which one of the
most famous battles of the Persian Wars was held. This battle has not only a huge historic significance, but a sentimental one as well, since it has
remained in the minds and hearts of the Greeks in general due to the fact that the Spartan king Leonidas with just 300 Spartan warriors resisted the enemy,
defending this pass, against an overwhelmingly larger force numerically and in terms of artillery.
The monument, which was erected to commemorate the Battle of Thermopylae, opposite the historic hill Kolonou, in which the final phase of
the battle was conducted, was built at the expense of American expatriates in the 1950s. Particularly impressive is what is written on the memorial, the
words "Molon lave" (translation: Come and get it), a phrase said by Leonidas to the Persian King Xerxes when he asked him to hand over their weapons. This
phrase has become a message of resistance around the world.
The next stop of the tour is the city of Kamena Voúrla. After that, we will cross the beautiful flat fields of Thessaly
and we will reach, after a 4 and a half hour journey, the really unique site of Meteora, with its huge volumes of rock that stand in the middle of the
landscape, as if a divine hand (God’s Hand) took them and dropped them there. Maybe that was why the monks built on top of these rocks the beautiful and
unique Monasteries. After visiting some of the monasteries we will go to the small and picturesque town of Kastraki to have dinner and rest for the night.
The next day, after breakfast, we will continue our tour to the monasteries of Meteora. The monastic community of Meteora is the most
important after the Athoniki Politeia of Mount Athos (commonly known in Greece as Agion Oros). Built on inaccessible cliff tops, as if balancing between
wind, earth and sky, these monasteries have been listed by UNESCO as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and are one of the most important attractions
in the cultural and religious map of Greece.
The first monks that inhabited the area and settled in the “columns of the sky” came in the 11th century. The 24 monasteries that are currently in this
monastic community were built during the 15th century, despite the incredible difficulties faced. The frescoes found in the monasteries of
Meteora, dating to the 16th century mark a very fundamental step in the development of post-Byzantine painting. We will have the opportunity to visit three
of them, depending on the day of the visit : the Holy Monastery of the Great Meteora (the largest monastery) , the Holy Monastery of Barlaam (the second largest monastery) , the Monastery of St Nicholas Anapafsa (the first Monastery
encountered in our way to Kastraki), the Monastery of St. Stephen (the most accessible since it does not have countless steps), where the
skull and remains of St. Haralambos lie, and the Holy Trinity Monastery (the most difficult to access monastery that the visitor must
cross the whole valley and continue by climbing on the rock to reach the entrance).
The finale of our trip involves a meal in one of the traditional taverns of the hospitable city of Kalambaka and, in the late afternoon we
will take the road back, having had an amazing experience both physically and spiritually, from this unique tour.

Excursion wine tasting tour to Nemea
The wine for us Greeks, except that it is included in the five basic elements of nutrition along with water, salt, oil and grains, was
closely associated with culture and religion. In Greece, the appropriate soil and the climatic conditions have allowed the widespread cultivation of the
vine too early in time. The principle of vines in Greece goes back to the Neolithic period, but its greatest growth took place between the 13th and 11th BC
century and continues, despite the unfavorable historical conditions, until today.
This tour is a tasting experience
since you are going to “taste” the Greek flavor through wineries and through "traveling" to the most magnificent "wine routes" of the country, and try all
the different varieties, after visiting the unique Corinth Canal and enjoy the spectacular view of the Isthmus.
Our tour will start early in the morning (around 8:00), from Athens, from where we will drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf, to the Isthmus of
Corinth, where we will make a short stop. The impressive Corinth Canal is an ideal place for a souvenir photo with the background of the
stunning breathtaking view of the blue sea and sky. It is a huge project, which began in 1882 and ended 11 years later, having a length of 6,340 meters and
a width of 23 m, joining the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, thus creating the most important artificial marine passage of Greece.
Our next stop is Nemea, which is located 42 kilometers southwest of Corinth, near the Mount Prophet Elias, at an altitude of 320 meters.
The surrounding area of Nemea is the largest wine-growing area of Greece, which produced the famous wines of Superior Quality (OPAP) Nemea, and is famous
for its wine since ancient times, when it was called Fliasion field due to the ancient city of Fleiountas. Nemea is built on a hill, where the composition
of the soil is perfect for growing wine. The dominant grape variety of the area is Aghiorghitiko, which provides the basis for a variety of wines. Among
these, one can point out the famous VSOP Wines of Nemea and the wonderful pink and red varieties. These wines are characterized by their aroma and fruity
taste. During the tour we will visit the Museum of Wine and a plethora of wineries to try these fine varieties. In Nemea, according to Greek Mythology, the
god Dionysus taught the Greeks the vine cultivation and …consumption.

: The vines are growing at an altitude of 250 - 800m to the SE of Corinth.
Climate
